THE LIGHT MOVED,
so did we.
When Innocean gave me creative freedom on this one, I was beyond excited — I mean, what director doesn’t love hearing that? I knew I wanted to take a moodier, more elevated approach to highlight the elegance and edge of the new vehicle.
We had a small team, and just one day to capture both video and photo deliverables for two vehicles, so the schedule was tight and the pressure was real. I envisioned a look that was moody and broody — light meeting shadow in all the right ways. To pull it off, I put on my producer and AD hats to lock down a location with geometry and strong shadows of shifting light that could complement the vehicle as the sun moved throughout the day.
I teamed up with photographer Andrew Trahan, and together we tag-teamed the shoot — trading vehicles, calling light, and chasing shadow to capture the EV6 in its best possible light. It was one of those days where vision, timing, and collaboration aligned.
